In this workshop, participants will explore collage as a form of artistic expression.  Using images and photographs collected from their own sources, participants will create hand cut paper collages following a five-step method.  In addition, participants will be encouraged to consider the historical and contemporary relevance of this versatile medium.

The workshop will include brief lectures, demonstrations, individual feedback, and group discussions. Participants will immerse themselves in art making, while at the same time become more familiar their creative process. Embracing the power of stepping back and welcoming the unexpected, the course will cover inspiration, planning, composition, and final adjustments.
